DAWN PRINCESS MAY 2006 GALLERY

May 2006 | Link this

The May 2006 Cruise was a four day/three night transit from San Francisco to Vancouver, with a day stop in Victoria. J and I travelled aboard the Dawn Princess, one of Princess's Sun Class ships, so the structure and layout was virtually identical to the Sun Princess, which we cruised on last fall.

The coastal weather for May was, however, not as nice as September. In addition to chilly temperatures, we also encountered a northern swell and high winds giving us a rocky first couple of days

The Latest Style

No, really, it's very slimming.

Displaying the correct "Abandon Ship" posture.

Snug

Ok, enough, get me out of this

From our balcony, a view of the bay bridge

Mike and the bay bridge.

Our room layout

Still in port, but the Sailaway Party and Rum Punch is in progress and flowing.

Too lazy to stand up, but at least my arms are long

How about a Nice Hawiian Punch, Sir? <Ka-Pow!>

Farewell SF

Slowing pulling away

Hey, wake up. Nap-time for the Geratol set.

Formal Night

No one told me I had my jacket caught on the chair. My sholder pads look like something from Dynasty

Windy, but sooo refreshing!

Bond, Mike Bond

I guess that makes J a Bond girl

While J was in Victoria, I wandered and took some shots of the ship. This is the forward elevator lobby near the Lido deck buffet and steakhouse.

Looking fown on the Lido deck and pool

The pool from the starboard side - you can see the other cruise ship docked next to us in Victoria

The forward sun deck, on the Sun Deck. Fancy that. There a two foot deep splash pool - classed as Adults Only. Go figure.

Tea in the main dining room

Me, enjoying my tea.

Our last dinner on board.

The Plaza deeck lobby and bottom of the atrium. J is off to the right waiting in line at the Purser's Desk.

A skewed tiles shot of the four deck atrium. My camera angles were a bit wonky, but I think it gives you the feel for the size.
